Wetting the bed

I have been fuming for the past 15 hours or so. I feel like I can't breath. I feel like the organization I cherish with my entire heart, handed me a personal razor blade and a salt shaker and enticed me to inflict a wound on my body and pour an endless amount of salt in the bleeding cut. I feel disgraced, not only by the Bulls front office, but by the entire team after last nights performance. I am furious that the Bucks are now tied for the 5th seed in the East, and John Salmons scored 27 points on his ex team.

To think that I've been trying to convince myself that this detached feeling I've had for most of the season was just a phase. To think I told people at the beginning of this season that the Bulls were going to make the second round of the playoffs. To think I cared for so long.

After their 79-74 loss last night, the Bulls seemed to have lost all chance of sniffing the playoffs. But it isn't the idea of missing the playoffs that is creating an anger that only Bruce Willis is capable of dealing with. It is the fact that the Bulls, with so much riding on last nights game, played the way they did.

After coming out in the first quarter and looking like a real NBA team, the Baby Bulls decided it would be a good idea to piss the bed. They laid an egg. They got on their knees and let the Bucks live their deepest fantasies.

In the second quarter, the Bulls scored nine points. NINE!

Then to make matters worse, the Bulls decided they would remain on their knees after halftime and Vinny joined them.

Will someone put them out of their misery already? If only they listened to me two weeks ago, the Bulls wouldn't be in the position they are now. We would still have a chance at a top 10 pick!

This was the worst game the Bulls have played all season. It was worse than the Nets loss, it was worse than the 35-point lead they gave up to the Kings. It was uglier than ugly. It was Cher ugly!

The Bulls refused to make adjustments and they couldn't make a shot to save their lives. Derrick Rose cannot do it all CHICAGO! I know we would like him too, but he can't.

The player execution this season has been atrocious. Hinrich and Deng went 10-33 last night and honestly the two have not delivered Rose from the extreme amount of pressure he has offensively throughout this season.

Hinrich is not a clutch shooter and I realize that; but for the position he plays, he should be. At this point I would much rather see Ben Gordon give up 46-points defensively while scoring 48 on his own, than continue to watch Hinrich go 4-16 from the field. The money he is getting paid is similar to the money the actors of the The Hills get: big pay checks for pure crap.

But I'm trying to keep my eye on the prize-the 2010 free agency. The only goal I have for the Bulls is for them to nab a top play maker in free agency. A guy that can take the weight of the world of D-Rose. A guy that will deliver the Bulls back to the promise land.

Oh and of course, I can't wait for the Bulls kryptonite, Vinny Del Negro, to get fired next week.

The worst thing is that even though they played terrible they're not out of the playoff race. They have a tough schedule but Bosh will be out for the rest of the regular season for the Raptors so the Bulls still have a chance to get in the playoffs and get swept in the first round.
