You can PUT IT ON THE BOARD!

It is here folks, it is here. Hawk Harrelson has brushed up on his golfing stories, Stone Pony has all of his pitching statistics at his side, and Ozzie Guillen is gleaming. The beginning of what could be an extremely special White Sox season has begun, and in perfect fashion.

Mark Buehrle started the game in his usual way with back to back 1-2-3 innings. He is like baseball's equivalent to a virgin that has never had sex in his 40 years of living: Fast, messy, and extremely annoying for the recipient.

To make things even better a little fellow by the name of Carlos Quentin started off where he began in the 2008 season. He took an outside fastball to right field for a stand up double. I know it's to soon, but can anybody say AL MVP (watch Carlos strike out in his next at bat and then ram his head against the dug out wall, which will result in a broken spine)?

Then the captain strolls out to the plate to the usual "PAULIEEEEEEEEEEEE" chants.

I've been critical of Konerko for sometime now. I even boycotted him for a few months because all he did with runners on base was hit double play grounders. But I have this feeling that PAULIEEEEEE, though he may be on his last legs, has that one good veteran season left in him. One of those Disney movie type seasons.

And what does he do his first plate appearance of the 2010 season? He hits an opposite field home run to give Buehrle a two run lead that should be enough support until the White Sox use their Bullpen.

I can see Jerry Bruckheimer penning the script as we speak.

Look I'm not saying the Sox are going to win the World Series again, but with this pitching staff, with the versatility that the OZ has at his finger tips, and the mixture of speed and power, I think the Sox can make one hell of a splash in 2010.

You know what, I am saying it. The Sox are going to be real good, and if not the World Series, I expect this team to go deep in the playoffs once again. I expect this pitching staff to hush the naysayers. I expect Carlos to lose his prepubescent anger problem. I expect Pierre and Beck's to get the White Sox offense rolling. I expect Rios to return to his All-Star form. I expect big things from this White Sox team.

And you can put THAT ON THE BOARD!

But then again, I haven't seen Big Bad Bobby Jenks pitch yet either.....

The Pirates also looked good their first game, anyways I think a poll for this site might want to be something like when will Ozzie blow up and blame the White Sox's future troubles on the organization, or the fans, or maybe he'll find a way to blame me for the white sox loosing because I went to Chicago once. My vote says he'll blame the wind and it effected the pitching too much. But I do enjoy a good ridiculous rant by Ozzie none the less.

I might be a different Tyler, and don't be mad just because you like the team. Ozzie will complain sometime this season, win or lose he will complain and it will be about something stupid, something like the state of Illinois has weird borders and because of it the white sox lost.
