Covered in Spread: Week 14 Reacp/ Week 15 Picks

(courtesy of ESPN.com)

Week 14 consisted of a very solid performance for The Manchise against the spread.  Jerry finished with a record of 11-wins and 5-loses, and Jonah finished with 10-wins and 6-loses.  As you all know now that gives Jerry another win, making the weekly score 2-1 in favor of Jerry.  Jonah has an overall record of 27-19 (Week 12: 9-7, Week 13: 8-6, Week 14: 10-6) and Jerry has an overall record of 26-20 (Week 12: 10-6, Week 13: 5-9, Week 14: 11-5).  The poll to vote on what "Spread" you would like to see the loser covered in is on the right coloum so be sure to vote, and keep checking out the week by week lines to see who is winning.  The video of the loser being covered will be posted to our site!

So now that Week 14 is over, bring on the Week 15 lines.

Thursday Night:
Indianapolis Colts (-3) at Jacksonville Jaguars (+3):
Jonah- I do not condone gambling, unless you are betting on Peyton and the Colts.  I don't think there's a chance this game is within 3 points.

Jerry-Colts only by 3?  Even if Peyton doesn't play the entire game, the Jaguars are not that good.  So I will continue my trend of betting against the Jags.

Saturday Night:
Dallas Cowboys (+7.5) at New Orleans Saints (-7.5):
Jonah- This is a tough one.  I don't like the Boys and I really don't like the Boys in December.  On the other hand, I think the Saints might be showing some chinks in their perfect armour.  While I don't feel good about it, i'm going to stick with the perfect team and take the Saints.

Jerry- Oh man, Dallas is continuing their tradition of SUCKING in December.  But the Saints have not really blown teams away lately either.  I think the Boy's might only lose by a TD.

Sunday:
Cleveland Browns (+1.5) at Kansas City Chiefs (-1.5):
Jonah- I can't believe I'm about to do this, but I am taking the Browns.  You gotta love love you som e Josh Cribbs and I think the Chiefs are just a worse team.

Jerry- I have come out huge lately going with the Browns, and I am doing it again.  Stallworth is getting the ball more, and Brady actually looks like he could be an NFL quarterback.  Go Dog Pound!

Houston Texans (-10.5) at St. Louis Rams (+10.5):
Jonah- Another tough one for me.  This is a big spread for a not so big Texans team.  I don't think the Rams are great, but this line it just too high.  I'm taking the Rams (despite my better judgement).

Jerry- That is alot of points to cover for the lackluster Texans.  But I'll bet on Andre Johnson and a quarterback that can actually throw.

New England Patriots (-7) at Buffalo Bills (+7):
Jonah- Tom Brady is starting to look more and more like a 7th round draft pick, and it's honestly killing my fantasy team.  Either way, I can't bring myself to pick the Bills.  Give me the Pats.

Jerry- The Pats can't run the football to save their lives.  Brady seems more hurt than Billy Boy is letting us believe and Randy Moss is being labelled as a quitter.  Add in the fact that Buffalo could have won the first time these two played, and I'm taking the Bills.

Miami Dolphins (+3) at Tennessee Titans (-3):
Jonah- Chris Johnson is on fire.  My heart is telling me to go with Ricky and the wildcat, but my brain is saying, "quit calling it the damn Wildcat! It's a garbage offense from the beginnings of football and you don't bet against Chris Johnson!"  So, I'm going with my brain.

Jerry- I'll take the Tennessee Chris Johnson's.

San Francisco 49ers (+8.5) at Philadelphia Eagles (-8.5):
Jonah- Gimme the birds.

Jerry- The Eagles have one of the most explosive players in the NFL, but the Niners hit, and they hit hard.  I just think the Eagles are peaking at the right time.  Eagles by 10.

Arizona Cardinals (-12.5) at Detroit Lions (+12.5):
Jonah- Anybody watch the Lions last week?  Didn't think so.  But I know you saw the box score.  Gimme the Cards.

Jerry-  The Cardinals come back after a terrible loss to the Niners and oust the Lions.

Chicago Bears (+11) at Baltimore Ravens (-11):
Jonah- Again, anybody watch the Lions game last week?  I'd like some chicken fried Rice please.

Jerry- The Bears are bad, and it kills me to say it.  Ray Rice might just have himself a field day.  Ravens

Atlanta Falcons (+5) at New York Jets (-5):
Jonah- Wow, the Jets can run, and the Jets can play D.  The Falcons can.... well the Falcons used to be good?  It's killing me.  I don't know why, but something is telling me to get some Falcons so I will.

Jerry- J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets!

Oakland Raiders (+14) at Denver Broncos (-14):
Jonah- Who would have thought that at this point in the season, I am betting a game because of an injury to Bruce Gradkowski?  If the G-man were going, I think I'd take the Raidas, but he's not and I'm going with the horses.

Jerry- The Raiders are leaning on their third string quarterback, instead of their multi-million dollar man.  Broncos all the way.

Cincinnati Bengals (+6.5) at San Diego Chargers (-6.5):
Jonah- Losing a teammate is never easy, and I think this one lingers a little for the Bungals.  I don't like the Chargers coming east, but I have to like 16-0.  That's right, the Chargers hold the NFL record with 16 straight wins in December.  Now that I have completely jinxed them, I will take them to win by a TD.

Jerry- Playing under these conditions is a scary thing for an opposing team.  I'm taking the Bengals to end the Chargers dominance and do it for #15.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+6.5) at Seattle Seahawks (-6.5):
Jonah- Seattle looked like garbage last week, but TB has looked like garbage all year.  I'll take Seattle.

Jerry- Mora is looking for some of his players to get more mean out on the field, so I guess I'll take the Seahawks.

Green Bay Packers (+2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (-2):
Jonah- Pittsburgh does not look like the Pittsburgh I know.  I'm gonna go with the Pack.

Jerry- This kills me even more to say.  The Packers are looking really good, and that 3-4 D has been an amazing fit for Charles Woodson. I'm taking the Pack.

Minnesota Vikings (-9) at Carolina Panthers (+9):
Jonah- The Vikings are good.  Like, really good.

Jerry- Vikings roll. Period.

Monday Night:
New York Giants (-3) at Washington Redskings (+3):
Jonah- Man oh man, I don't like the Skins, but they have looked like a football team lately.  And believe it or not, they are only a few plays away from being a playoff team.  All that said, I think Eli and the Giants get it together and start their playoff push Monday night.  Gimme the G-men.

Jerry- The Giants really need to play well to keep their Playoff hopes alive.  If Eli can control the turnovers, and they can build an effective run game the Giants will win.
