Niemi and Hawks Prepare for some Turbulence

“Chicago is not a better team than us. They’re not playing better than us. They are just doing a better job in front of the net on both sides.”  Hmm….They’re not playing better than us, they’re just doing better in every aspect of the game.  Kind of contradicting yourself there aren’t you Mr. Luongo???
But anyway, I’ve got better things to talk about (I think) than big words from a man who is proving to be very small in his own crease.  Game 4 is tonight at 8:30 PM Chicago time, buckle up your seat belts.  From all that I’ve read, the ‘Nucks have one goal tonight, come hard at Antti Niemi.  I’m expecting mayhem.  I will admit that the Hawks have been in constant contact with Luongo, but I can’t honestly say that I’ve seen anything with ill intentions.  Nonetheless, Vancouver is taking offense, and they are making it known that life will not be easy for Antti tonight.
Look for a couple big scrums early in this one with Goaltender Interference, Roughing, and Fighting Majors to follow.  When I look into the future I see Rick Rypien running Niemi on his first shift.  Big Ben Eager will come to his goalie’s aid and engage Rypien.  During the ensuing scrum, innocent face washing from Adam Burish will turn into a fight with Shane O’Brien.  Everyone playing and watching will be amped up and there will still be 17 minutes left in the first period.  But that’s just my fantasy (Which also includes another hat trick from the Leviathan).
I anticipate another big win tonight.  The Ginger twins and their unbelievably Middle Eastern looking goalie have shown little ability to rise up to the occasion against our Hawks.  In addition, Chicago appears to be beginning to fire on all cylinders (like the team we watched for the majority of the season).  My prediction is 4-2 Blackhawks.  That means all you gamblers out there should be all over the Hawks coming in at +110 straight up and +235 minus a goal and a half.  Enjoy the game and I will be back tomorrow to analyze tonight’s happenings!

The Canucks truly are a wiley bunch.

Their execution of an ingenious game plan - opening up the ice by playing a man down for most of the game - was truly stunning and they carried it out to a "T".

They are an unselfish lot as well, with player after player volunteering to be the one sitting in the penalty box - the only kink in their armor was when they inadvertantly had two men in the box.

Finish the douchebags off in Chicago, and let's get ready for the Conference Finals. I've grown bored of these simpletons.
